Building Australia’s renewables future: supporting the Renewable Energy industry in Central West NSW

Major infrastructure is ramping up across the Renewable Energy Sector in Central West NSW  and our team is on the ground delivering the civil works that make it possible. From switching station benches and substation platforms to internal access roads and large-scale bulk earthworks, we’re laying the foundations that help turn ambitious energy projects into reality.

Powering the future through our work in the resources sector

A1 Earthworx is at the forefront of civil construction for the renewable energy sector and our team has been critical to powering progress in Central West NSW.

With a proven track record across large-scale infrastructure projects, we deliver tailored solutions that support the successful rollout of clean energy initiatives across regional NSW.

  • Switching station and substation benches
We construct durable, high-performance engineered pads that form the backbone of renewable energy systems. These are built to specification, engineered for longevity, and ready to handle demanding environmental conditions.
  • Internal access roads for solar farms
Our team designs and builds stable, long-lasting road networks that ensure smooth movement across solar farm sites. From construction to ongoing maintenance, these roads are key to site efficiency and safety.
  • Bulk earthworks
We bring the heavy equipment, experience and precision needed to reshape landscapes for major projects. Our bulk earthworks ensure sites are level, compliant, and ready for development, laying the groundwork for sustainable energy generation.

When local expertise matters

Local knowledge and expertise is crucial in large-scale renewable infrastructure projects. Our deep understanding of the Central-West Orana region allows us to navigate local regulations, environmental considerations, and community needs effectively. Our local presence ensures that projects are not only completed efficiently but also align with regional development goals.

Crudine Ridge Wind Farm – powering 75,000 homes

A prime example of our expertise is  Crudine Ridge Wind Farm, which became operational in 2022 and is producing enough energy to power 75,000 homes and has prevented 266,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

This project involved the construction of 15km of access tracks, including 9km through challenging wet and unsuitable ground conditions. We also constructed tracks to individual pole locations, installed fencing and gates, and built 11 gabion gully crossings. Our ability to mobilise quickly and deliver on time and within budget highlights our reliability and efficiency in handling complex projects.
